The Holding Pattern Entry Template (HPET) is a simple, yet extremely safe and effective, navigational aid for determining the type of entry that the pilot must make into a holding pattern. The template allows you to quickly visualize the holding pattern and proper entry, directly from the aircraft's heading indicator. The Pilot Simply holds the template over the heading indicator while obtaining the proper hold entry and visualizing the holding pattern. Handy seven-hole-punched (Jeppesen binder pattern) instructions make finding instructions for the first few times easy.
